Stop playing with environment

If we don't stop playing with environment, it could be dangerous! Photo Courtesy: Dr. Prashant Rajput Everyone now a days talks too much about protecting environment, about climate change but does nothing except lecturing for publicity. There are some people who are genuinely concerned about global warming & climate change. You must have heard of Greta thunburg, the way she cried while speaking at the United Nations on climate change, it did not impress me much, but her efforts should be appreciated.  You can't save environment, deforestation, melting glaciers and climate change by crying at the United Nations. Need to educate people & create awareness,  pressurize the governments to act against global warming, deforestation, excessive burning of fossil fuel, industrial waste & release of hydrocarbons in the air, to act against jungle of mobile network towers around the globe including India.  Each and every citizen of 'The Earth' needs to do something to p...

Why use chemicals on your face?

follow COVID-19 safety rules      Nature has it all... For centuries, people in India have pampered their skin with ingredients found in nature.   In today's modern world, we are drifting away from our centuries old traditions of using natural ingredients in our skin care. We are drifting towards chemical products for skin care. Our ancestors used natural ingredients which were sourced from plants, herbs, trees barks, flowers, buds etc. for their skin care. With the revolution in cosmetic products and arrival of new brands claiming fairness, removal of dark spots, anti-aging, we gave up our very own traditional & natural ways of treating our skin with the goodness of herbs and home made facial mask.   Fast moving lifestyle & lack of time has also drifted us away from home made skin care recipes. Excessive use of chemicals can damage skin & make it venerable to certain skin diseases like allergies. Whatever we eat and apply on our face goe...

One year of Pulwama attack. What has changed?

On 14th  February the grusome Pulwama terror attack on CRPF jawans completes one year. More than 40 of our Brave men were martyred in this gruesome deadly terror attack on crpf. No one imagined India will avenge the killing of Pulwama martyrs by launching an air strike across the line of control,  deep inside Pakistan territory. The most important part is that the Balakot air strikes will also complete one year on 26 February. The question is what has changed in the past one year? First - the Balakot air strikes itself  was a change in India's approach towards tackling terror.  India was seen as a soft state. All these years we were quiet and would run to international community crying about Pakistan sponsored terrorism. We would expect America to do something about it. We hardly thought why would America do our job when it needs Pakistan for it's own self interests. Thank God we learnt our lessons from our past mistakes and finally government  gave a go ah...

India needs to promote panchkarma among masses like Yoga.

One thing that is very much prevalent in India is that we forget our very own sciences, traditions which dates back to thousand years. Like ayurvedic treatment called Panchkarma. India had switched to gyms & had forgotton about yoga until the west started appreciating it.  Yoga became popular once again thanks to the west who started practicing it and coming to India to learn it. Soon, we Indians started practicing it by looking at it's popularity in United states & some European countries like England. It was only after yoga gained popularity in the west that we were reminded of it's exceptional benefits on health.  It was not as if we had totally forgotten it but we had sidelined it but now it has gained immense popularity specially among common people.  Thanks to  Swami Ramdev that he made yoga a household name. He brought yoga to common man's home. He should be credited for making yoga a household name in 21st century India.  Similarly,  ...
