Rihanna and Greta thungburg's tweets have generated great amounts of enthusiasm & happiness among those who oppose PM Modi on anything & everything.
Under Modi regime, the nation is witnessing protests everytime a bill is passed by the parliament. The Modi government's strong decision to abrogate article 370, triple talak bill, CAA and now the reformist farm Bill, the Rafale purchase not to forget surgical strike and the Balakot air strikes, have shaken PM Modi's detractors who have not come to terms with the fact that Modi is the Prime minister. They only want to tarnish PM Modi's image nationally & internationally and project him as fascist, undemocratic, divisive, anarchist, unable to rule India peacefully!
Look at the timing of these protests. The CAA protests coincided with Donald Trump's visit and now the farmers protest collided with the British PM's (cancelled due to COVID-19 ) visit to India on republic day. Protesting against the bills passed by the parliament has become a norm under Modi regime. Opposing different bills has now turned into opposing Modi, projecting him as fascist, suppressor of democracy & democratic rights. Modi baiters were overjoyed when one international magazine called him 'divider in chief' and now when Greta thungburg tweeted on farmer's protest without knowing the real facts. She lectures the world on environment, does she endorse stubble burning?
Not only some Modi detractors call him a dictator indirectly but also label anyone who appreciates Modi government's reforms as bhakts & call media 'godi media'. They project Modi as a man who crushes voices of dissent. If so, then how it is possible that so many protests have taken place since he became the prime minister and he has not crushed any of these protests. During television debates, people come and openly oppose him during live telecast. If Modi was against the dissent, he would have crushed those voices.
The Modi detractors will support anyone who speaks against the present ruling dispensation whether it is logical or illogical because they consider it as an attack on PM Modi's image and they are happy with it. It is reflected with Rihanna and Greta thungburg's tweet (where she shared a controversial toolkit). The Modi baiters are merrymaking that protest is making international headlines with international celebrities tweeting in support even if majority of Indians have never heard of these international celebrities!
It looks like Modi-Virodh is opposition's only agenda. Healthy criticism is fine but opposing for the sake of opposing is wrong. They project PM Modi as if he is committing atrocities on farmers and helping Adani-Ambani. A false narrative is being spread that Adani-Ambani will take away farmers land. Adani, Ambani and Modi are not 'zamidaars' of pre-independence India that they will take away farmers land!
During the anti- CAA protests also rumors were spread that it will take away nationality of people belonging to muslim community. The government clarified many times that CAA is not for Indian citizens but still protests went on for months.
It all began with award-wapsi drama which unfolded when Modi became PM. The irony is, these awards were bestowed by congress governments & not by the Modi government but they continued returning them as if PM Modi has bestowed them with these awards. Did anyone returned awards when mass exodus of Kashmiri pandits took place during 1990's.
The right to dissent is justified but continuous targeting of PM & trying to justify external forces trying to create chaos and anarchy in the country, is not justified?
